1.Extension
Scheme The objective of the scheme is to educate the farmers in latest technique of Animal Husbandry and to create a comparative environment among the public for the better management of cattle and poultry during the annual exhibition.
2.Veterinary
Health Services The scheme is operated to improve the quality of Veterinary services to the public. Two first aid centers at Pandakkal and Mahe beside Veterinary Dispensary at Pallor are functioning in the Mahe region for this purpose. Vaccines and certain medicines are purchased for immunization of cattle, dogs and poultry in Mahe region under this scheme.

Special Livestock Breeding Programme This provides subsidized calf feed to the farmers to well maintain their female calves to contribute towards early parturition and increased milk production and to augment the availability of good quality hybrid heifer and cows.
4.
Cattle Development Scheme The aim of this scheme is to improve cattle of Mahe region in both qualitative and quantitative traits with better quality semen supplied by Kerala Livestock Development Board, Kannur (Now supplied from Palakkad).
5.
Poultry Development Scheme The state poultry farm helps as the visual demonstration units for the hygienic management of poultry and for increased egg of Mahe region. Eight week old pullets with compete immunization against common diseases are distributed at subsidized cost.

OF SPECIAL CAMP CONDUCTED 2 camps conducted in one year. One health camp and one infertility camp at Veterinary Dispensary, Pallor.

CALENDAR: FMD: Vaccination carried out once in every year
in the month of May to June(before the onset monsoon). 795 animals of Mahe
were vaccinated against this disease. RABIES:
